motomuffin, who I cheekily enlisted to bring my new Striple to the island for me.
Suffice it to say that some things had changed for the better, very little had changed for the worse and a lot had stayed the same around the TT. It's still brilliant and insane. One thing that is definitely better is the TV (and DVD) coverage these days, though...
